TSA Certified Drivers
Since August 2007 the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has been responsible for passenger & cargo safety at airports as well as terroristic threats. The TSA is also responsible for ensuring the security of the transportation of goods within the country. The TSA training and certification grants drivers permission to transport cargo directly to the airport to be loaded onto an aircraft. You may not always need a TSA certified driver but partnering with a carrier who has the qualification is recommended. Smart Transports Inc has a fleet and staff to meet your shipment requirements.

Ramp Access Airside
The TSA has issued regulations governing the security of airports. All delivery personnel must be vetted before access is granted to deliver freight and cargo. Aside from having the TSA certification, drivers must undergo additional security and background checks prior to accessing restricted areas.
The Smart Transports team specializes in Airside Logistics.
Our drivers have the required credentials to access secured areas at the local ports. Both the Port of Miami and Port Everglades require drivers that carry the Transportation Worker Identification Credential, also known as TWIC. This credential is required for those who need access to secured areas and is granted by the Transportation Security Act (TSA). CDL drivers picking up and/or delivering cargo to ports must have a valid TWIC card. If you need a reliable trucking company in Miami and the South Florida area with knowledgeable and qualified drivers that are TWIC certified, you are in the right place. Our team can provide trucking solutions for your next shipment. We supply the industry with Miami Flatbed services, Miami Flatbed with Piggyback services, Miami Flatbed with Moffett services, Miami Step Deck trucking, Miami Oversize trucking and Miami Heavy Haul trucking services.
