Since August 2007 the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has been responsible for passenger & cargo safety at airports as well as terroristic threats. The TSA is also responsible for ensuring the security of the transportation of goods within the country. The TSA training and certification grants drivers permission to transport cargo directly to the airport to be loaded onto an aircraft.
